Humanistic Background of Haiyan

   Haiyan County, under the jurisdiction of Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, is one of the earliest established counties in Zhejiang, founded in the Qin Dynasty. Haiyan County is located in the northwest of Hangzhou Bay, 118 kilometers from Shanghai and 98 kilometers from Hangzhou. It has jurisdiction over 4 streets and 5 towns, with a total land area of 584.96 square kilometers and a Jiangkou Bay area of 537.90 square kilometers.
